~ Volks youSD/Tenshi Yuki PS Body
~ Leeke Sweet Basic Skin Girl Body

Please be aware there is nudity involved as this is a comparison of body types of different dolls and the only way to notice the differences is especially when the doll is unclothed. If you feel any discomfort in this, please leave this page. ^^ Thanks ~
.
Note : youSD and youTenshi have the same body with the exception of that the youTenshi body has magnets at the back and is genderless (i.e. : no anatomy). My Aichii while having the youSD Suzuna head is using the youTenshi Yuki body, so if you see magnets on her back, please don't be alarmed *grins*. However I'll be referring to her body as a youSD body as its shorter to type and they are slightly more available than Yuki.

Front view

For some reason, Aichii seems to be tilting her head to the side v_v;;
Anyway, the youSD body is slightly taller than the Leeke Girl Body.

Leeke's Basic Skin tone is a tad paler than the Volks one and leans towards a pale yellow hue. The youTenshi body is however a rosier colour. The resin feels tad different too.

Note the curved "L" like groove in the youSD body ? It helps the body to sit and also perform the cute 'suwarikko' style sitting pose XD~

Side view

Here the height difference is more apparent. I think its dued to the jointed body of youSD and the one-piece body of Leeke.

Side view, hands up

The arch of the Leeke body is somewhat reminiscent of the old Volks SD10 Girl body. Both are pretty stable in standing positions.

Back view

Excuse the slightly leaning-towards-the-side body of the youSD. They are *coughs* kissing the ground after all XD~

Leeke body has a slimmer waist (time to send Aichii to exercise classes XD!) and a *ahem ahem* bigger butt ? *faints* The reason for Leekes being shorter is apparent here. Her legs are shorter than the youSD ones !

The magnets on the back of the youSD (youTenshi actually) body is slightly obvious. This actually adds a bit of weigh to the body overall. Also if you look closer, the top part of the youSD calves slope towards the knee, gradually thinning. This enables them to bend their leg back even further.

Sitting, front view

Both can sit minus back support. It was quite hard to get the Leeke body to sit and is rather unstable. With the youSD body, the only downside was having to uh.. yank the leg to free the elastic from the curve to sit. When it does though, its stable and upright.

Sitting, back view

Not much difference in height when seated. Leeke's body slants a bit backward but IMHO her butt looks cuter than the youSD one when seated XD~!!!

The design of the headcap too is different ^__^ Leeke ones is a bit like a clasp on type with two connectors, one at top, one bottom (a bit like the old MSD heads ?) and the youSD one while similar has a strong magnet holding the cap in place after slipping the cap into its groove.

Sitting, side view

Now you can see what I mean by the slightly backward leaning body of Leeke body while youSD sits upright. ^__^

Ow, my head~ >_<;

Both bodies can touch their heads well...

Peekaboo ?

But only the Leeke body can touch/give oneself a smack in the face at any given time ^^;; The sculpt and position of the Leeke arms make them more poseable than the youSD body when it comes to head or face touching and putting hands behind ears.

Aih... what do you want from me...

Another one is that they can touch their waists better too. Overall-ish speaking, the Leeke body's arms have a wider range of movements than the youSD body. However, in wrist and feet movements, the youSD body has a wider range.

Aiks ???

The knees on both the bodies are different. You can't see the groove opening of the youSD body due to the upper thigh sculpt which is similar to the SDCs and Unoas while you can see through the groove of the Leeke body.

Sitting with knees drawn

They are both leaning against something. However, only the youSD body can keep the pose. The arch of the Leeke body plus the difference in the thigh and knee grooves makes it rather hard to do this pose. Sweet kept sliding down into that position so I gave up ^^;;;

Yatta ~!!!

Sitting minus support now. The youSD body is stable and can hold hands above head without keeling backwards. I think this is attributed to the thigh grooves and the jointed waist ? The Leeke body is thrown off balance and falls backwards X_x; She can hold that pose if propped up against something though.

The cute sitting pose ~

Since this is a sort of Volks signature pose, I guess that's why the youSD body does it so well ? *laughs* The Leeke body can't even bend their legs into the suwarikko style and their arched back sends them splat back... again V_v;

Guu ~ T__T

While unable to do cute sitting poses, the Leeke body proves again its superior in face touching XD~!

Hands

Leeke hands are widely spread while youSD ones are more clustered. The detail on Volks hand is apparent while not on the Leeke one in the palm area. Both do have nail details on the other side.

Feet

Their shoes can be shared as there is only about some 5mm difference between them. The youSD feet are chubbier and shorter while Leeke ones are longer and narrower. There is not much detail on either and both are tad flat. But that helps a lot in gaining stability when standing.

Wigged & bedecked

Using the Volks SDC Kaede 104C default wig in Mix Gold and in a dress I made. I get this feeling that Sweet somewhat resembles SD Nono ? *laughs*

  There you go, a comparison between youSD and Leeke body. Much thanks to a friend who agreed to let me borrow Sweet to do this comparison ^__^

I must say both the bodies have their pros and cons. I love Aichii's stability in standing, seating etc but adore the cute hands on my face limb posability of the Leeke body. Both too are cute in their own way and the arch back was pretty nice to carry around too ^__^ In all, whatever rocks your boat !
