~ Volks Neo-FCS F18 (Sato Exclusive)
~ Volks SD Ken / Mika

Due to the confusion and claims by some that the Volks Neo FCS F18 head is the same one as the SD Ken/Mika head, I went hunting for pictures and came up with this.

Please note that neither of the pictures belong to me. They belong to different people and I will try to credit wherever possible. Pictures were sourced from my own collection therefore I can't remember where I got them from. If anyone recognizes the picture / is the owner and wants to be credited, please inform me ! Front view

Frontal shot of the two heads. At first glance they seem the same but just look different alluding to the different faceups. But we shall see that they are just similar looking heads but different.

Note the shape of the cheek. The F18 is chubbier and more rounded whereas the Ken / Mika head is more refined.

Again we can see the difference in the shape of the face. Another thing that is obvious now is that the chin of the F18 head is rounder compared to that of the Ken / Mika head. The shape of the nose seem to be different too. Also, the eye shape on the F18 is somewhat smaller than that of the other head.

Look closely at the eyelids. The F18 has thicker eyelids than the Ken / Mika head. Also while the mouths look the same, the F18 mouth is less open / open in a different way from the other head.

Side view

The nose on the F18 is a little shorter and less sharp / rounder than on the Ken/Mika heads. Here it is noticable again that the size of the lower lip is different in those two heads. Note the mouth shape too ~

In conclusion, the F18 and the Ken / Mika head is not the same head. It is based off it, that's the most we can say. This is further proven by Volks in their Volks Perfect Catalog #02 explanation of the F18 head. On a disclaimer note, this review was done entirely on a collage of pictures so it is hard to explain in detail what exactly are the differences.
